Journal #6

#6a:

"Aunty, Aunty! We can get those for Analisa!", yelled the little blonde, curly haired girl as she pointed to the window of a shoe store her and her aunt Martha were passing by. "Sherley, we have no time or money for that right now, we have to get to the hospital!", yelled Martha, pulling her niece through the snow.

Arriving at the hospital with her aunt, Sherley sat herself in the waiting room since children weren't allowed to enter the patient rooms during the process of giving birth. Her aunt Martha gave her a lollipop, and kneeled in front of her sighing. "Sherley, I want you to be a good girl and wait here patiently for me while I go to check on Mommy." Sherley nodded, a smile forming across her face, "Don't worry Aunty, I'll wait here for you and my little sister Analisa and Mommy and Daddy!" Martha looked at Sherley with a hurt expression and nodded, getting up and walking to her sister's room. Sherley couldn't quite understand what that look meant at her young age, so she just shrugged it off and watched the television in the waiting room playing one of her favorite shows: Winnie The Pooh. I'll be able to watch this with Analisa some day! Sherley thought in excitement. She couldn't wait for her little sister to go home with her and her parents.

Time passed, tears were cried, emotions ran wild everywhere, and suddenly Sherley was back at home looking out her window on a nice sunny day, watching her parents outside. They were placing her little sister's new gifts on a table. Piles of clothes, a new carriage, little toys, and the most precious shoes that Sherley picked out herself for Analisa. Yard Sale: Newborn Baby Items, never used, wrote Sherley's father upon a piece of cardboard he planned to use as a sign. Sherley saw her mother touch the shoes she picked out for her little sister, and her mother's tears began falling down. As she watched her father go over to embrace her mother for comfort, Sherley began to cry as well. She had never felt as sad as she did at that moment, for she lost something incredibly special. A new family member who was going to be not only her little sister, but her best friend. As she placed her face into her hands, crying even more, all Sherley could do was wish for it all to be a nightmare. All she wanted to do, was wake up. Wake up and find her little sister in her mother's arms, waiting for Sherley to come and welcome her into their home. Into her heart.
